Together, let’s keep building a caring, livable city for all
On Saturday, Oct 17th, vote for ANGELA GIRARD
MY PRIORITIES
Affordable Housing · Child Care • Climate Action · Economic and Cultural Development • Traffic, Mobility, and Transit · Indigenous Reconciliation • Listening to You
Since 2018, it has been my privilege serving you as a Councillor for the City of North Vancouver.
Working with the Council and City staff, I’ve helped:
- Bring forward the City's certification as a living wage employer
- Expand childcare on City-owned land and in new housing developments
- Restore City funding for elementary school playground upgrades
- Strengthen the supports developers must provide to tenants displaced by redevelopment
- Initiated plans for an annual Multicultural Community Festival to build community and break down racism
- Deliver the new Harry Jerome Community Recreation Centre and the Silver Harbour Seniors Centre
- Support the creation of the Central Lonsdale Business Improvement Area
- Advocate for a cooling strategy setting a maximum indoor temperature of 26°C in multi-unit buildings
Over my two terms, the City of North Vancouver has ranked first in BC for building rental housing (Make Housing Central, 2022), started more new housing than anywhere else on the North Shore, and won HUB Cycling’s Biggest Leap award for active transportation (2026).
But we can’t take progress for granted. Too many families still can’t find a home they can afford, or a childcare space close to it. That’s where I’ll keep pushing in a third term — by continuing to have small conversations with residents about the big issues, which is how I do this work.
Since 2018, it has been my privilege serving you as a Councillor for the City of North Vancouver.
If re-elected, I’ll continue to listen, advocate on your behalf, and take action, and I’ll keep asking, at every decision, who benefits and who is being left out. That’s how you build a City that’s affordable, connected and inclusive for everyone who lives here.
On October 17, I’m asking for your vote for a third term on City Council.
